This beloved garden was once on the property of a local Japanese American family who owned and ran a beloved nursery. It was created in part to honor one of their sons who had passed away in WWII. When the airport was being expanded, the garden was almost demolished. But the family, with support from the community, found a way to relocate it to its new home. Now, it's accessible to the public for free year-round. It's a sight to behold in all four seasons, but in the spring, the Japanese maples emerge from dormancy and begin to leaf out, showcasing vibrant new foliage.
